TIG Carnival Highlights 🤩
The Traditional Indigenous Games Carnival in Kwinana was more than just a day of sport, it was about learning, sharing, and celebrating together.
Students brought great energy to every activity, showing teamwork, respect, and plenty of smiles along the way.
A big thank you once again to @indigenouswellbeingandsport for collaborating with us on this event, @inside_bhp for supporting the carnival, and to the local stakeholders who helped make it such a success: @cityofkwinana , @thesmithfamilyaus , @life.at.bp, @zoneyouthspace , @headspacerockingham , @stjohnwa .

Today we celebrate the wonderful Tamashya!
Over her time with SMF, it has been incredible to watch Mashya flourish in her role and step into new opportunities with confidence. Most recently, she has taken on a lead role for SMF in our Old Ways New Ways female program, where her ability to connect with participants and guide activities has made a real impact.
Mashya is not only a strong and capable leader, but also a truly positive role model for youth, particularly young women. She brings kindness, empathy, and strength to everything she does, qualities that make her both respected by her peers and deeply valued by the young people she works with.
Her down-to-earth approach and genuine care for others make her a pleasure to work alongside, and we couldn’t be more excited to see how she continues to grow, develop, and inspire in the years ahead.
Wishing you the happiest of birthdays, Mashya, thank you for everything you bring to the SMF team!
