Stephen Michael
A West Australian Football Legend
Stephen Michael is widely considered to be one of the greatest ever players from Western Australia and arguably the greatest in the history of the South Fremantle Football Club.
Throughout his life, Stephen has demonstrated great values and integrity and the perfect role model to have a foundation honouring his name.
A proud Aboriginal man, Stephen was born in Wagin, WA and grew up in the southern Wheatbelt town of Kojonup before making his way to the South Fremantle Football Club where he became a legend.

Throughout his time at SMF, Ryan has made an incredible mark through his commitment, energy, and genuine care for the young people he works with.
His natural ability to build trust and connection with students, as well as his collaborative approach with community partners, continues to strengthen the impact of our work in the region.
Whether he’s leading programs, supporting his team, or inspiring students to be their best, Ryan brings a calm and steady presence that makes a real difference. We’re lucky to have him on the team.

Rockingham NightFields got off to a flying start in Term 2⚡️
Each week participants have been loving the mix of activities, getting stuck into everything from Culture Through Sport games, like Meetcha Boma and Edor, to soccer and AFL sessions.
It’s been awesome seeing students from different schools come together, form new friendships, and have a blast as a team playing a variety of different sports. 🏉⚽
We’ll be back every Monday in Term 3 at Rockingham Lakes Oval, running through until September 1st.

LEADERS IN ACTION 🏀
Last week, @lakelandseniorhighschool Rising Leaders put their coaching skills to the test, leading a fun and inclusive basketball clinic for the Education Support students on at their school.
After weeks of learning and preparing, the group stepped up with confidence. From warm-ups to shooting drills, the Rising Leaders made sure to thoroughly explain and facilitate the activities, encourage participation, and bring the fun!
Big congratulations to all the Rising Leaders for their leadership, teamwork, and effort! 👏

These goodies will go a long way in supporting the young participants at our Old Ways New Ways camp.
This camp is a voluntary cultural, education and wellbeing program that empowers Aboriginal young people and guides them away from the justice system, towards a brighter future grounded in culture, community, and healing.
Together with our partners at @aboriginallegalservicewa , Wadjak Northside, and @hopecommunityserviceswa ; we are all grateful for the community’s support and reducing landfill.

People naturally look up to Jay, no matter their age or position, because of the way he approaches life and leads by example. He brings out the best in those around him just by being himself.
